The "Complete Communities" meeting was held at the Beavercreek Grade School on Tuesday, September 12th at 7:00 p.m.
This is the first of several meetings which will be held in the Beavercreek area.
It was surprising to see that only 75 residents of the Beavercreek area showed up for this meeting, as the County sent out approximately 2,700 notices to the citizenry. Quite a few individuals said that they never received a notice and only knew about it from friends.
Even though the turnout was low (the County was hoping for at least 150 participants) the consensus was that the people of Beavercreek want local control as well as the rural flavor to remain.
I was not able to get a summary of the meeting in order to print here, but was told that by the time the November "Bulletin" is published it will be available. So stay posted. The people who did attend the meeting were given the opportunity to let the County know whether or not they would like to attend the "Community Congress" to held on October 28, 2000 at the Oregon City High School, 1306 12th St., Oregon City. The "Congress" will be from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm.

Unfortunately, a pre-registration is reuired which must be received by Monday, October 2, So, this notice will not get to you in time to remind you to send in your registration.      The Editor

Church News

The "Bulletin" would like to introduce a new feature to our publication, "Church News". Many will remember that last month Robb Peck, acting Secretary of the Beavercreek Lions, suggested that groups in the Beavercreek area use the "Bulletin" as a place to list community events. Well, we have our first participant, 'The Ten O'Clock Church'. Welcome!
