  The date for the open house for the new Beavercreek Fire Station has been set for Saturday, April 12, 2003, from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The dedication ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. and will include local officials and the news media.
    Clackamas Fire District #1 is extending an invitation to all citizens to attend the dedication ceremony or stop by during the day and tour the station. Hot Dogs and picnic style food will be served free of charge to everyone and fire hats and balloons will be given to the children.
  Tours of the facility will be given with an opportunity for questions and answers and interaction with the Beavercreek firefighters.
  The phone number to the Beavercreek Fire Station has changed and is now 503-742-2610 so please write this number down somewhere where it will be handy.
  The community meeting room is now operational and all community groups wishing to use it for meetings should call the Beavercreek station to sign up for the use of the room. We look forward to seeing everyone on April 12 th!

New Phone Number
for Beavercreek Fire Station #10

  I was a little confused as to why after all this time the business phone number at the Beavercreek Fire Station was going to change. Well, here is the scoop... The Editor
Four years ago Clackamas County Fire District #1 had a dilemma.  Most of the districts stations were in need of telephone system upgrades and/or replacement.  Some stations had phones where parts were no longer available, none of the phone systems were interconnected and costs continued to escalate for service. This often made communication difficult between stations.  Further complicating the situation, the district had seven different brands of phones and received telephone service from five different providers; QWest, Beaver Creek Cooperative Telephone,  Clear Creek Co-op, GTE and Clackamas County.
  It was determined that the district needed a common system to better serve the citizens and that tied all the locations together for internal communications. After reviewing many different options and systems it was
