BCCP Update

Community  Calendar

Your Beavercreek Committee for Community  Planning (BCCP) is proud to announce that Portland State University  students have volunteered to assist Beavercreek with its Economic Feasibility Study. The BCCP sincerely appreciates those PSU students' interest  in and support of Beavercreek.
Perhaps a little clarification is appropriate regarding the Economic Feasibilty Study. An Economic Feasibility Study is necessary to bring the incorporation of Beavercreek as a city to election.
What a Feasibility Study does is determine whether or not the incorporation of Beavercreek is a viable one.  The Study seeks to establish that the incorporation and the resulting city will be self-sustainable and cost effective. It will  describe the services the proposed city will supply and a preliminary three year budget.
The Economic Feasibility Study is a requirement which must be met in order for the incorporation of the Beavercreek to continue.
The BCCP asks for your community support in helping us to fulfill the mandate of the residents of the area, which was extended to your BCCP at the three community meetings held in March of last year.

Fundraising: the BCCP will soon be selling  T-shirts and sweatshirts as a fundraising project in order to continue with the business of the community. To get your custom designed T-shirt and/or sweatshirt, please look for details in the March "Beavercreek Bulletin."

at the "Corner Park."  We then had a new and urgent project to look forward to... that was to get the new park ready for its first community use, the 1998 Beavercreek Bust.  We had a lot to do, there was a lot of clearing and planning that had to be done in preperation for the upcoming event.  We didn't take possession of the park until August, so with the "Bust" starting on September 11th we really had to get with the program.  Many thanks to the dedicated Boosters and many non-Booster community members who freely donated their time, and community businesses who donated most of the materials needed to get the park ready.  We not only completed in time, but we had one of the most successful "Bust"s in recent years, and that was just the beginning.  This years "Bust" will be even better.  We're proud to announce that Johnny Limbo has been invited back again and we have a new carnival all signed up for the bigger and better 1999 Beavercreek Bust.  The Park is looking a lot better, but we are not yet done.  After the "Bust," with more help from volunteers, both private and corporate we were able to plant new grass on half of the cleared area of the field and have many more plans for 1999.  If you would like to get in on the fun, dust off your work clothes and keep an eye on the "Beavercreek Bulletin" or our web site at http://www.beavercreek.org and come out and help with the next project.
